Finding the average cost of facelifts in Malaysia (â§)
The price range above was calculated by averaging fees from eight plastic surgery clinics in Malaysia including ours.
We used WhatClinic, a popular directory of medical service providers, which listed 42 facelift surgeons from Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang.
Five of the clinics displayed prices publicly, and after reaching out to the remaining 37, two more shared estimates with us.
We added up and divided the fees, giving us an average price of RM17,000 to RM26,000 for a full facelift.

Operation in private hospital
Your facelift will be performed in an operating theater at Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC), giving us access to the hospital’s equipment support from the its highly trained medical staff.
The package also includes an overnight stay at SJMC, and while we donât think a hospital bed is ever enjoyable, SJMC is as good as it gets!
Follow-up appointments
You receive up to 12 months of follow-up appointments during which Dr. Soma and our team ensure your recovery goes smoothly.
Beyond your physical condition, we will be here for your emotional wellbeing, as even patients who are prepared for temporary side effects can have bad days!

Of the 42 clinics we looked at, only seven freely share price estimatesâthe rest want you to book a consultation.
As frustrating as this is, the truth is providing a general estimate isn’t easy!

There is a huge difference in the prices of a facelift because it really depends on what the patient needs, what their expectations from the surgery are, how long they have for recovery, etc etc. It is tailored to individual patients so unfortunately, itâs not really possible to give an estimate. Comparing facelifts between surgeons and different hospitals/clinics therefore is not as easy as you might think. Hence the âenquire nowâ messages. No two patients are the same and each one needs to have a full assessment in order to assess their needs.

A one-size-fits-all answer can cause unrealistic expectations and comparisons without knowing the full pictureâand we as doctors want to protect both patients and ourselves from these mistakes.
However, we believe it’s always useful for patients to have a ballpark figure so they don’t approach doctors feeling totally in the dark.
So treat the rates weâve provided as guidelines.
If a surgeon quotes you twenty times the market rate, run away.
If itâs slightly higher or lower, ask whyâa good surgeon will be able to justify it!
Factors that affect facelift price (â§)
Besides regional variations, what ultimately drives the cost of any operation are:
- Procedure duration
- Procedure complexity, and
- Expertise / facilities
So whenever itâs a longer or more complex procedure, or more experienced medical professionals or equipment / facilities are being used, expect cost to go up.
