Malignant melanomas are of 4 types. They start as a mole slowly growing in size and becoming irregular in shape. Color may change and occ bleeding and ulceration can take place.
So if you have a mole that’s undergone recent change ie size shape color or texture then please see your regular doctor for an opinion. A biopsy may be needed.
This gentleman had a malignant melanoma of the left cheek measuring 2 x 2cm which was fully excised with coverage by a local flap.
He has healed very well.
